Using the recommendations outlined in the AAA (Accra Agenda for Action) and drawing from the discussions in both the Pan-African and Regional levels, the drafting of a National Parliamentary Plan of Action on Aid Effectiveness in Ghana will be facilitated. National challenges and accomplishments related to the implementation of these recommendations will be discussed and debated. Amongst other topics, this workshop will focus on the role of parliament in the scrutiny of ODA, parliament’s relationship with CSOs and the role of each national parliament in mutual assessment reviews (MARs), as outlined in the AAA.

Participants will include, but not be limited to, the Deputy Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament as well as Chairs and Members of the respective “money” Committees (finance, budget, national audit, and public accounts) of the Parliament and representatives of the Pan-African and regional parliaments.
